Day 2

We wake to a beautiful Como Day.  We do a head count. 9.

It would appear that Troy had been given a bad ice-cube one of his Capriosca’s the night before.  He was a late but significant scratching for the day’s ride.

The big blokes got excited – one down.

We will let the pictures tell most of the story for today.  The scenery was breathtaking.  In terms of riding, it was a pleasure to ride with such experienced riders and lovers of life. What a cracking day.  A few dusty heads but everyone  pulled their weight.

Riding Awards:
Hard-Man Award: Eric.  At 64 kilograms, he drank everything that was thrown at him and managed to beat, no smash, everyone up two mountains.

Soft-Man award:  Troy.  For staying at the bottom of the mountain

Team Award:  Tony.  Navigated and lead the team to one of the most beautiful spots you can have lunch – on the border of Switzerland and Italy.

Lake Lugano in Switzerland. The crew rode from Como,  across the boarder and around the lake, then up into the mountains...

The rather pleasant view from the cafe where we stopped for lunch. Italy on one side of the river, Switzerland on the other... Just beautiful.
